On the weather channel, it tells me that it is 18 degrees outside? But when I return from making my coffee, to find out about the wind, they were running scenes from outside the Washington monument, showing hundreds of freezing protestors, who may have been waiting for those not as weather brave as they? Over at Fox, it was a story about some ding bat and a coma? Wow, it's like watching an episode of, The La Goons? That's a comedy I've been working on, about a family who are all in the TV business? Some as soap opera actors, some as journalists and prognosticators, while others did commercials. But all were in television, even if it were in a technical job behind the cameras!
John LaGoon was the father of this madcap family! He had once been a hard nosed reporter, who wouldn't rest until he got the story! But as he had moved up in the company, his assignments had become less about the truth, and more about PR? He had risen at a steady pace, and the pay had been good! He was now, the head of the cable version of NBC, and during his tenure, he begins to doubt his motives, and finds himself torn, between what he had become, and the once young firebrand that he was! It is just these kind of thoughts, which slowly begin to cause him to have a change of heart, and this puts him at odds with the family!
You see, in our little play, John is the protagonist, and he and the clan get into some very funny scrapes, but, in an other way, He is the families only hope? Stay tuned!
