Memory

Memories always come as pictures, although many are triggered by a word. Just a word, spoken in some way, by someone during your day, will set this process in motion! It comes when you loose interest in the speaker, and by your lack of focus, you drift off, thinking of something else? What you are now focused on, is a memory. It doesn't matter the subject, or whether you were discussing the future or not, but because it was something from your past, your mind will send out pictures of whatever event that it was? It is a memory because it has already happened!
There is a way, to train your mind to think of new things, and this comes when you consider the future. Although your mind will search back for something that would coorelate to what it is that you are considering, new scenes will also emerge, as your mind will now add your imagination! Work on training your mind, to consider things who's outcome have not yet been decided? Those things which concern you for some reason? You can start this process with small steps? Afterall, you have to crawl before you can learn to walk! So consider this upcoming event in your life, and try to predict it's outcome? Try to establish how things will turn out, and why?
This is only the first step, and I will give you a tip? Suppose that when considering this future event, you can see no way that the worst will not happen? If all you do is worry about this, then you will not be able to focus on what is going to happen, and without focus, you can not learn from the experience! Focus on any level is the hardest thing to control, and focus is what is called for! You must not allow yourself to worry, because worry only clouds focus.
So, the point of all this, is not to worry about anything, especially, those things to which you know that you have little control! Take each problem as a learning experience. Once you come to realize that you have little control if any, it will make this process a lot easier!
