Two Pages

For those of you who have wondered about the term, Born again believer, and what that means, first you should know that that edict comes directly from the mouth of Jesus, and not from any mortal man.
He spoke these words to one of the chief priests of the Jews, a man named Nicodemus. The exact quote goes something like this, No man can enter the Kingdom of Heaven, unless he be born again. Being mortal, Nicodemus missed completely the spiritual meaning, and responded to Jesus, How can a man enter the womb a second time? Jesus of course was speaking of spiritual matters, and only after the full impact of the murder of Jesus for the false claim of blasphemy, did Nicodemus and other men come to understand the prophecies regarding the coming of the Lamb of God. That being, that Messiah would come twice, the first time as a lamb to the slaughter, and the second as the Lion, who comes this time in judgement. His second coming, the one of judgement and restoration, is now very close.
What being, born again really means, is to cast off the restraints of the religions of men, and except who Jesus is, and that without him, you have no chance of entering the Kingdom, and so rejecting his offer of eternal life with him.
Born again believers, know all that I just told you, and except it as true. But still you say, What does it mean to be one of these believers? What it is really, is the casting off of all the doctrines of men, opting instead, to be born into the family of God, and by so doing, being privy to the wisdom of God. From a practical point of view, one of the first things that happens to a believer, is that a person's IQ, goes up approximately ten percent. Once this conversion is complete, you will see things from a different perspective, one of calm and peace of mind, rather then being swept up in the urgency of the moment.
What Jesus wants, what it is that he offers, is to know him personally, enough so, that you become comfortable enough to call him friend. What he does not want, is your religion.

Self Absorbed

Do you like personal stories? If so, listen up, because I'm about to tell you one. It is a story, though personal, has much bigger ramifications. In my case, for the friend I'm about to tell you about, all, at least to the extent of my knowledge, ended well.
A boy in my neighborhood, was one of those terrible kids, who took great pleasure in torturing and killing animals. Everything from bull frogs to cats and dogs, nothing escaped his deviant habit. Of course, deviant is not nearly a strong enough word for such behavior, evil would be the word. In deed, most all of the Islamist terrorists started out this way, but so did every home grown mass murderer. Again, let me be clear regarding my friend. This early behavior doesn't always lead to someone becoming such a callous adult, and in the case of my friend, I'm fairly sure, that he doesn't have bodies buried in his back yard. Even after this many years, and I still call him friend, what he did back then sickens me. On its surface, such behavior is thought to be nothing but a morbid curiosity? Thankfully, with the possible exception of Lizzie Borden, mass murderers are men.
But to understand such depravity, is near impossible for a healthy mind to understand. You can call such thoughts and behavior as a psychosis, but its root cause is evil. I suppose that the larger point to all of this, at least the one most relevant to current events, is the question, How do men and boys, go about cutting off someone's head, shoot them, or burn them alive? How can people do these things to other people, with no more feeling, then that of a morbid facination, and mindless obedience? How is it that such total depravity exists? If these types have a morality, what is it? What reason, what logic fosters this kind of behavior, and how is it that we can possibly understand?
The answer is, that with evil, there is no logic, because there is no base, because evil has no morality.  When someone is evil, they are the epitome of being self absorbed, so much so, that they can not see, nor understand, the suffering of another.

Sometimes,

Sometimes, you just have to let the boys have at it. Or, let the girls have at it, or a boy and a girl have at it, Or, even the fragile psyche of the hopelessly sexually confused have at it, with anyone else. The point is, that sometimes it is healthy, to allow people who disagree to have at each other. But probably more important with this little mind tease, the bigger concern is, is how this stupid subject has become so divisive. Strangely, we keep talking about this ridiculous subject, while the far greater threat, that of an ideology, which doesn't look to ridicule a minority, but rather to torture and kill them.
But if we were to leave our genitals out of the discussion, all this really is, is a diversion. Focus on the silly, while the matters of a united national concern, go not spoken of? Gender neutral bathrooms, Are you kidding me!
Does it bother anyone else, that this national conversation, is brought on by a minority approximately ought three percent of the population are the ones who are so fixated on this? Not that we aren't aware of mindful of pain of this minority, we are, but you'll have to excuse us, if we think that this subject is not near as important then the fact, that there are those now vie-ing for control in this country who will do far more then embarrass you because of your sexual views, but would rather torture and kill you because of them! So while we waste our time talking about the feasibility of gender neutral bathrooms, the plotters of death and mayhem move closer to position. In short, it isn't your morality that is at stake here, but far more importantly, it is your entire life style that is at risk. Frankly, we the majority, don't really care what you do behind closed doors, we just don't want to hear about it anymore! Get over yourselves, as we as a nation, have far greater fish to fry! Your anger is far greater served, if you'll be angry at the right people, and if I were in your ranks, my wrath would be targeted against them, rather then us.

Dana Perino’s Book Tour!

Dana Perino’s Book Tour!  Wow, that was strange! All I was trying to do, was to post up Dana's new book, as a way of endorsement. But anyway, here I am, I think on my blog page? I tease Dana, and relax, she doesn't respond back. But I tease her in a good way, as I think of her as the 21st century Doris Day. If you are too young to know who Doris is, google her, and after you see and hear a few film clips, I'm sure that you too will see the striking resemblance. Speaking of striking, Dana is one of those people who can strike out at your beliefs, and gently persuade you towards her point of view. All I might add, without you even knowing that you had been exposed. And if you do suspect it, her way is so gentle, that in the end, you feel lucky to have spoken to her. On the Five, still one of my favorite shows, first, it was her smiling face that brought me to the show, but second, she is always the calming force, her way is to always look to find the middle ground, a strong woman of God, and a woman of intellect hitched to a perfect peace.
A tad over the top you think? Perhaps, but if so, she is blushing somewhere. All that talent, and with those girl next door beauty about her, How can you not want to buy her book? Good luck sweetheart, I hope you sell a million of them!

When the Book get's closed

I could take the time to explain to you, just how much trouble you are really in, but I'm sure that you don't want to hear that.
But here's the thing, I don't give a damn about your stupid politics, for it is only a game for fools,  says the Lord. Indeed, how much time should he waste explaining to you the differences between the two ideologies, as it has never been so obvious in our history, the choice that is, then it is right now. The choice that you are about to make in these coming elections have not been this important for a very long time. How much time must be wasted explaining something so obvious, so simple, that every day men and women already see it? We have had more then enough of politics as usual. We look for a new way, a way where the people's voice is actually listened to. We grow tired of your back room deals, your slap on the shoulders, all done with a wink and a nod. But I will tell you this, if you should cast the truth of what's obvious off again, if you should choose to have more of what you already have, then maybe you truly are as stupid as they say? And if you are, and you choose wrong again, then you deserve every thing you are about to get!
But Father is close, closer then he has ever been. What he still does, is what he has always done, just as he has always done before. Still he nocks, each day a new day, each day another opportunity, each day, yet another chance. His concerns are not of the things of this life, but of life eternal. All he asks, is for an agreement, an understanding, a common purpose, and nothing more.
Father draws so near so that all who have ears will hear. The urgency is that the time of this calling is drawing short, and the time draws very near where he will call you no more. I too will tell you that you are fast running out of time. The billboards along the highways of life, are already scheduled to come down. Know this, when the last name is entered of those who are to come, then the Book of the Lamb will be closed, and you will no longer hear that gentle knock at the gates of your life any more. For by your choice, your name was not entered, and you will hear the closing of that book sounding in your ears, for the rest of your days. Choose life, because as of now, the book is still open!

Humidity

Apparently, my book is in a sort of a holding pattern, technical problems I'm told? But putting logistics, conflicting schedules, and all manor of resistance aside for a moment, I figured, why not drop a line to you, whoever you are?
So what's going on? Real hint of spring here in Jersey, as I think we hit the low 70's? The day was a great one too, as everything looked clear and bright. But as my father would often say about the weather, (My father was quite the weather prognosticator in his own right), If you don't like the weather in Jersey, Wait, it'll change.
Darned if he isn't right. Because todays touch of spring, has turned into the night's chill. Real cold and damp out there now, and damp is always the killer isn't it? They call it humidity, and it'll make your cold nights seem a lot colder, and your hot days a lot hotter! Hey, maybe it isn't climate change that is the problem, maybe it's just the damn humidity?

Exaggeration

A moment of exaggeration, a momentary slip of memory. Because I had told myself, to steer clear of exaggeration a long time ago. Actually, I have beaten it for the most part, but occasionally, one will slip by now and then.
Exaggeration makes for a better story, at least in the mind of the teller. The problem with exaggeration, is that, once it is discovered, it throws doubt on the whole story.
What I do now, is rather then exaggerate a story to make it more interesting to others, I add the blendings of comedic timing. It is a far better way to get your point across, if you can do it with humor.
So its kind of a two pronged attack. When telling a story, try always to do these two things. Make your story honest and make it funny, I can assure you, that one is always more difficult then the other. In truth, it isn't easy to master, but what you'll find, is that once you get the hang of it, that in group settings, people will always listen to your point of view. Humor can take the sting out of a harsh reality, but more importantly is to laugh. Stop taking yourself so seriously. So, tell the truth, and tell it in a funny way. Both are learned skills. But the real key is when you want respect, is to always have your yes mean yes, and your no mean no.
Stranger still, and this just came to me as I was about to post up. But what makes jokes funny, is that there is an element of truth in them, particularly when they are poking fun at ourselves. In that way, truth and humor are one in the same? It must be true, because now that I think of it, there is nothing funny about a lie!
