Unfettered Pride

  None of us is immune to it, it is a malady common to humankind. Human suffering cannot be avoided, it is part of the curse you see?
  When the decision was made that day in the garden, to go against what they knew to be true, it was pride that made them disobey! Pride can be a good thing. Pride in country, pride in others, but pride in self is a dangerous thing! Just as the two reacted in the garden, they could not have known the repercussions that their actions would bring about, so too do we not understand? Nothing has really changed from then until now, it was pride that was birthed back there in the garden, and it is pride that brings about all of the calamity today!
  Take pride in yourself as to your appearance and your demeanor, but recognize that there are two types of pride, one of which is a good thing, and the other which breeds an arrogance, is a bad thing! Be careful that you know the difference between the two.  
  Unfettered pride is at the heart of every evil, no matter what that evil might be, and no matter the severity, pride is at the heart of all evil! Pride stems from one thing, because there is one source for all pride? What pride really says, is that I have no need of God, I am my own god? This is the real reason why people doubt the existence of God, and it is always why they reject him.
  It has been that way from the beginnings back in that garden, on up to our primitive attempts to reach God at the Tower of Babel, and has been so from that time right up until now. Beware of pride!
