Surviving A Nuclear Explosion ( Part Two )

In a moment it was all gone, in the twinkling of an eye, all that that eye had ever seen was gone! In reality, those who were the closest to the blast were the lucky ones? For them, it had been just a moment of stark terror, and then gone! The molecules and atoms that were their lives had become fuel for the giant furnace, that furnace in which nuclear fission took place! All that entered this furnace were  changed back to the basic elements which made up all life, separating what will be alive again from that which is dead!
At ground level, the shock wave went out from the center of the explosion at speeds reaching one thousand miles per hour, taking down everything in its path! The shock wave billowed out, that is to say, that it rolled up and onto itself, spilling outward in terrible clouds of smoke and debris. But at last, the clouds rolled out at a slower pace, dissipating, and leaving a ring of radioactive dust at its furthest point. The beginnings of the hell this terrible cloud brought were just beginning now that the explosion had finally ended! At this location, being the farthest out from the source of the destruction, you could look up at massive cloud that the bomb had created. Only then could the full magnitude of what had occurred be realized! If you experienced the bomb from this distance, you too would see a bright light flash at the moment of ignition! It would light up the horizon, showing the once passive clouds as if x-rayed pictures of themselves? From your vantage point, before the shock wave pushed outward, there would be a Great whooshing sound, as the great furnace would pull all available air up and into itself! Pulled upward and inward to feed the mighty fireball at the heart of the angry cloud!
If this ominous scene were not enough, the boiling cloud caused its own weather event, and lightning flashed in it and all around it! When the deafening roar of this evil cloud finally dissipated, all that remained was the hideous mushroom like cloud, and the only sound, was a return of that eery silence?
