Reflections,going to the birds

I thought I would try a new place to play but I got bamboozled by Microsoft, and here I thought they loved me? They enticed me to start a blog over at their cohorts place, and they gave me pretty pictures? Anyway, I fell for it, and all they wanted was to generate a few more sites? All having the name
'Reflections' in it somewhere? Oh well, at least they haven't lost their capitalistic spirit! Anyway, this part is in the way of an explanation, so that the post makes sense? The blog was to be called Reflections, a catchy name wouldn't you say?
It was nice and cool outside earlier, winds blowing lightly, rain clouds on the horizon. So I started thinking about the name Reflections, and started to think about flat lakes with concentric circles caused by the rain drops. Naturally I thought of mirrors, and mirrored images, stuff like that!
But then came the birds, putting on fantastic flying displays! They flew both singling, and in groups. Three different times, small flocks of birds took off together, leaving from the ground in front of me, already in formation! Now all of this was amazing in and of itself, but that wasn't what got me? It was the recognition that not only had displays like this happened before, but they had happened more often then not!
So it was at this point that I knew that shiny lakes would have to wait, because this one was for the birds! I am running out of room on my yellow pad, so far, one story per page? But I will tell you of other bird like things while space allows? Because I live near a lake, there are a lot of different water foul. Geese often walk along side me, and when they enter the water, or if they are flying, it is rare when there is less then five, and they move always in formation. Two times, the two swans that are in the lake have approached me, and once, the male came within three feet of me, and spread his powerful wings as if to show me, and this with his back turned to me, and he showed no fear? Then there are many assorted tweety birds of different colors and shapes, and lately, wherever I go, there is this one bird who is always there? A black bird the size of a robin, who has what looks like a Sgt.. Patch of red and gold in the middle of his wings. No matter where I go, if I'm on foot, he is never far off!
