Appropriate Duos

Fantasies are like dreams, everybody has them. The question is, What do you do with them? Other then the words, there is little difference between a dream and a fantasy, and for my money, depending on the subject at hand, I see no difference at all. People will say, Follow your dreams, should you not then follow your fantasies? The answer of course, is yes, depending on what you dream and fantasize about. Perhaps you have dreamed about getting a certain job, and you have fantasized how it would be if you were behind that desk.  If what you dream about will bring about a positive change, not only to you, but to others also, then not only should you follow such fantasies, but they should become your focus.

Similarly, as is dreams and fantasies, feelings are married to emotions. But unlike more appropriate duos, feelings and emotions must be managed, as each tends to blur clear thinking. Surely deeply held convictions can bring about emotion, but then it is the product, rather than the cause.

There are other duos in language, duel meaning words and phrases that also come into play at times. Words like, peace and quiet, law and order, despair and depression, duty and honor, these too can can be useful in bringing about a positive outcome, or a destructive one that only adds to the chaos. Each one is a story of its own.
