Pride

   People say and are correct in saying that we are a country divided. The latest bulletin from idiot central is that we're weird. In a general way we are a divided people, but not yet fractured. Like everything in this life there are two sides to this coin also. No matter the argument, no matter the side you choose, in the end there are only two sides. Right or wrong, up or down, to or fro. The basis of all facts are two sided at their heart. The subject at hand is either true or it is a lie, alive or dead. What draws people to embrace any falsehood is the allure of the lie being put forward. Lies will promise you the world but leave you with nothing. This is because doing things our own way strikes a nerve that we have each carried with us from the beginning. It tickles our pride. 

  Pride, it is the basis of all sin, and is at the core of all that is wrong in life. The good news in the polls they insist on telling us, is that we are divided only in half. Good news? Two choices are easier to choose from, where as had the left succeeded in fracturing us into small manageable groups, forcing us as it were, into believing that we are isolated and alone but for the ever growing number of cliques, small groups rather than one people with only two choices. The old adage from history tells us that the easiest way to defeat a foe is by dividing and conquering them. A people isolated is much more apt to allow itself to be easily led. Our current government's leaders preach falsely to us from the pulpit of propaganda. They are committed to their cause, because they know full well the only way to forward their agenda, is by dividing and conquering. It is pride that drives people from wanting to know and accept the Lordship of the living God. Our arrogance has told us from the very first sin that we have no need of God as each of us is our own god. This of course is not new as it was the original lie told to Eve in the garden of life. There is nothing new under the sun. And so the words of God were spoken to a generation of people as far back as six hundred years before the first century, and still ring clearly true in this, the twenty first century. From the holy scriptures, we read of a prophet speaking the words of God to that generation who had left the hearing of God's words, choosing instead to listen to the false prophets who spoke of the wisdom of the world, rather than the wisdom of God. But through a prophet of the most high, God has him say to the people the following; Son of man, prophecy against the prophets of Israel who prophecy from their own heart. Hear the word of God! Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing! Translation: If you put your trust into the false ideology of man, and of their limited wisdom and reject the perfect existence and wisdom of Almighty God, you are a fool, and your wisdom will die with you. Remember, the eternally dead don't think. Never have, never will.    

Alone

  Financial woes had become yet another beast to fight. Alone, I spend much of my time alone. It is a hard thing to be alone, but it will also make your perspective more precise, more focused. 

 From the Lord's perspective, his view is much different from ours. His vantage point is from a place much higher. Remember, He is beyond space and time, He views all situations from a position much higher than our own. He sees it all and he knows all. But here's the best part, He is willing to share it all. God's children may be a motley looking crew, but from among them there are great scholars. Much like here, there will be teachers who will guide you and aid you on your way through a true forever land. Being eternal is not something that you will understand immediately, for in the beginning you might still find yourself looking for clocks. In a short time you will learn that there are no clocks, for there will be no need of them, time will become irrelevant. When you stop learning you are dead. 

  Eternal life, how many of you have convinced yourselves that this is all there is, and that there is no life eternal? In a nut shell that's the humanist point of view, that we are our own gods. The funny thing is that their old adage which says, Eat drink and be merry for tomorrow we die is true. For them there is no life, for them, the here and now is all there is, eternity they say, is foolishness? For them, this here and now is all there is, for tomorrow they will become dead, and what there was of them will become, nothing forever. For when their time is up, its over! Death is the absence of life, death is eternal darkness, alone in an isolation that no living thing need think about. 

The alternative;  

  Besides the thought of endless knowledge, of having all eternity to answer all your questions, there is a beauty beyond describing that is well lit and completely visible. Not only is it well lit, the source of this light coming from He himself who you are now with. Eternal life is fine, but where will you spend forever and a day if not in a place of solid foundation. To be eternal you must have a place to be eternal in. Heaven is that place. The place of no tears fame, a place of everlasting Peace.  Heaven, this will be your home, a place more grander than any of us can imagine. But rather than me struggle at the keyboard trying to explain it, let me give you a glimpse of what our eternal home will be like, let the Word itself speak to you through scripture. The first two verses of Revelation chapter 22. "And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the middle of the street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations." America, our birthday has come round again. If our nation is to be healed, we must return to our creator God, and we must return to Him only with the Lamb Jesus. Eternity is always that, but for our nation to be healed and saved from the onslaught of evil, we, America, must return to the God of our fathers. Happy Birthday America, long may you live.     

Subliminally Sublime

   Subliminal is far from being sublime. Far because there are so many more negative results than ones for the better. It is a form of communication, but what specifically is meant by the word? Look it up in the dictionary if you want to be sure, but basically speaking, with subliminal is to speak one to another via a third voice. With sublimity, you never actually speak to the other. Unspoken directly, but hidden within the story at hand. By reading between the lines you might say. The third voice usually comes through like in television, radio, and computer screens. Subliminally speaking is to hide your meaning within the show, ad, or the script without really seeing it. In many ways it can be as a secret code, one where only the participants are the ones who understands it fully. Subliminal itself is a word that is neutral because it is equally capable for being used for bad purposes as for good purposes. Subliminal stands alone, as some see and understand it, but most don't. 

  Though it's true that using the subliminal form of communication can be used for good reasons, there are far more reasons to use it in a subversive manner. But like the gun, it can do nothing on its own, but only the user decides its purpose. The best example I could give you comes from back in my teenage years. There was a law suit or some kind of hullaballoo about the subject. The issue specifically was that during the playing of movies, an icy cold green bottle of Coke a Cola was flashed onto the screen. So quick, that if you blinked, you could miss it. There and gone in the twinkling of an eye. Not long after leaving the movie, you had a sudden urge for a coke. After-all, subliminal is hardly sublime. 

  Post Script, I couldn't help myself, I just had to look it up. Subliminal; below the threshold of conscious awareness. really a cool word.. 

20th Century Man Continued

  I'm a natural born twentieth century man. I come from a time when men were men and women were glad of it. From a time when every man woman and child of us were proud to be known as an American. Similarly, also as it still is today, America was the place to be, we were then, the trend setters of the world. And as it still is today, people from all points of the globe wanted to be here. So beyond just our simple pride, we understood our gratefulness, as there had been two world wars and America had never had a bomb one dropped on us. It wasn't us who had to rebuild our civilization. In both of these world wars, America had remained unscathed. Recently, we recognized the great cost of freedom, Memorial day, a day when we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and died for us so that we remained free, and we did. Even today, America is still free. No greater sacrifice can be made than for one to lie down his life for others. To be clear, it isn't that we haven't fought wars on this land at all. We have, since as late as the nineteenth century and back to the Revolutionary war, had foreign troops fighting in our country. We did in various lesser wars, but the most deadly of all with the largest numbers of Americans killed, was when we killed each other in a Civil War. It still the record holder for most Americans killed in a war. But again, in the twentieth century on up to the Y2k, the brink of the 21st century, no bombs fell on the United States of America. 

  Enter the twenty first century. Y2k should have alerted us, that this new century, the 21st, was going to be vastly different. About a year into this new century on September eleventh of 2001, we were bombed from within by Islamist terrorists. The hateful extremists hit multiple targets, specific targets, designed to really hurt. They stabbed at our financial pride by attacking the Twin Towers. They stabbed directly at our government  by attacking the capital city itself. They even targeted the heart of our military prowess, by attacking the Pentagon in Washington DC. There was another target in our capital city that was targeted, but that plane never made it. Because every day citizens like those in the past, didn't cower in fear, but fought back and saved many lives. Brave, gritty, tough, take no nonsense Americans sacrificed their lives to save others. Sound familiar? This was the beginning of a whole other time, one of fear and confusion. 

  So yeah, you can say I'm a twentieth century man, I wear it as a badge of honor. But in staying with the theme. The twentieth century club is not only one you join by your age, but there are also females within our ranks. People who love the truth and hate lies! And more importantly, people who are willing to stand unashamed against the madness and say NO! Enough stupidity, no more leading with hurt feelings, but rather return to common sense. We need men to remember manhood again and be themselves. This country desperately needs more Alpha males, or as the left calls them, toxic males? Toxic Males, it has a nice ring to it. Someone, hopefully me, will start cranking out Proud to be a Toxic Male tee shirts. I can see the sportswear brand already.  

     

Going Home

  Day upon day, hour after hour, it never stops. We are baffled by it all, befuddled and disappointed. We've been roust about, been through the mill. And just when you think that things just can't get any worse, the problems keep on coming, and there seems to be no end in sight. But if only for a moment, forget all the drudgery, and refuse to give in, and don't get caught up in the daily disappointments. Each of our lives are different, we are separate from each other and yet one people. Affirmation is what we demand, "Show me" is something you say, and a voice rumbles back and says, "Find Me". You have been dislodged from your post, adrift, awash in the trials of life. 

  How you doin friend we say while passing each other in the street, do you know the way home? They say that home is where the heart is, but the heart is a lonely sailor. Buffeted by the same winds it creates while chasing after whims. The soul knows what the heart desires, it knows what the heart has forgotten, and so naturally, the heart is drawn to the soul, as it holds the essence of what it is that you want but cannot understand. It is that emptiness feeling that gnaws at us all. Each of us have it, that empty feeling that we don't understand and cannot explain. It is like a hole in ourselves, that we do not see, but desire to fill. And so we wind up chasing what we do not understand, it is this mutual longing that each of us have. Some how, some way, we must find an answer to this desire for a meaning beyond ourselves. This is common, and a way of life for all of humanity. It is the peace of mind we lack, a freedom from worry, an end to relentless doubt. 

  The emptiness and longing that you just can't put your finger on, is the same longing that calls us home. Each of us has heard this call in the distance, for some faintly, while for others the sharp sounding of a resonant bell. But this calling to return home is from the home you have never seen, for this calling is from an eternal home, it is meant to be our destination after the trials and tribulations of this life have come to an end. Unlike this home, our intended eternal home comes complete with safety and joy forever more, forever. This home that we long for is not of the here and now, this home that we desire without ever having seen is our eternal home. Our bones which have risen up from the dust of the earth will one day return there. But this is not our intended home, our only true home is where God is, and our Lord God who beckons us. it is he, Jesus, who once walked among us. For only He knows the way home, for our true desire is to return to our Creator, it is God Himself who is missing in our lives, and only Him, Jesus, can show us the way home. And this is all we have always wanted but could never quite understand. We want safety, we long for peace and understanding free from any doubt or worry, we want to go home, and only through and with Him can we find our heart's desire, Home, eternally, safe at home forever and ever. Amen and amen        

Perfect Timing

  If it hadn't have been too early, it would have been too late. Perfect timing, it is so hard to achieve. But imagine if you can, having the ability that whatever your interest, having the power to have these interests manifest themselves into reality. At the spare of the moment, like the snapping of a finger, that you could create a reality, alter any situation, and create it in such a way that the logic of it left no room for chaos or confusion. 

  What would you do with such a power, how would you go about setting the play into action? This kind of power is as the sun is to light, self evident, one as the other, the same. If you were the type of person that is cluttered and confused, the worlds and their realities would be as you are, cluttered in chaos. Your creation would be as a testament of your personality. 

  God has always had, and forever will have, this kind of power. Though for Him, rather than with the snapping of a finger, His way is by speaking His thoughts aloud as spoken words. The age old objection has always been, coming from some point in the past, that God and science were mutually exclusive. In truth, not only are they not exclusive of one to the other, in actuality, one confirms the other. This world, our galaxy, the cosmos. All are not in the meaningless confusion of chaos. In fact, they are in perfect order, everything is what it must be. To everything a purpose, for everything a place. In a word, Perfection. 

  No doubt by now, most of you have heard the term "fine tuned universe." This perfection of all that is no matter the size, is the point of the source of the frustration felt, by those who stubbornly hold to randomness, and the everything from nothing theory. They berate those who believe in a creator, and deny the existence of God. But make no mistake, those who hold to the notion that God and science are separate and different from each other are all just well educated fools. They make light of those who hold to a great designer, a Creator of everything that was and is, and has yet to come. Because rather than the two being exclusive of each other, it is quite the opposite, One verifies the other because they are a part of each other. They mock those who's faith is in God. But what is their faith, everything from nothing? 

  God is perfect, and so the cosmos and all of its realities is, as is, the source of the words spoken in the beginning. Perfect, finely tuned, not chaotic, but rather, perfectly said and done as they must be. Perfection personified as our living God. And just as He is perfect, so is all of creation perfect. The perfection of all that is, a creation made perfect by its Creator, a creation so precise and so accurate. The stuff of great thought, from the thinker alive before time. He is the Lord our God, perfect and pure, for He and he alone is worthy of all our praise, all power and glory are His, and He has made a way for all people to come to where He is. A way, the only way, for He is the Way.  Amen

Chapter Fifty Two,

   The turning point for our people is at hand. For those who dare read it, Psalms chapter fifty two is that, this chapter of the book, this is about them. They all know it, they just hold it inside. They keep the truth they know bound up with lies. 

  These are the connivers, the shrewd liars, they are thick, covered in spider webs. And then to the neutral, but for the neutral for politics sight. You must ask yourselves, " neutral for what"? 

  Sadly as a proud American I must tell you that this is true for far too many of you. When evil has become simply a way of life. Woe! Absolute crystal clarity has evaded you, you offer up your children on the altars of Baal. 

  What would you do with a people who have become so perverse, so twisted? Your politics aside, you have much more important things to consider. What would you do with such a blood thirsty gang? God will punish those who run to resist Him, He will punish those who resist truth at all costs. 

  Seriously consider this passage of scripture, take a good long look at yourselves before you look to others in judgement. There is but one true judge of us all, and He reigns from a place of stature, of perfection, and purity.
