Stupid

The way of bewilderment, but not yet befuddled. It's a state of flux, and is a common state of mind. Not yet lost, just betwixt and between. Each of us must walk it, and often times, the walls of our private voyage through whatever fear we face, can seem to be as the valley of the shadow of death. The canyon walls of this lush valley floor are mirrored. When walking it, whether you look left or you look right, all you see is you. We chose this valley to walk, but hadn't figured on the mirrors. Even the most arrogant among us get tired of being the point of focus. Eventually our self gaze makes us uncomfortable, and we want to look away. Some of us try looking up and focussing on the beauty of the day, but the down side is that by doing so, causes unnecessary stumbling over things at foot.  Inevitably, most will choose instead to look down.

Once you come to the realization that now you're always looking down, and, that looking at life in that way brings about anxiety and depression, you want a different path.  Always the better gaze is forward and centered. An old term comes to mind for a lot of reasons, but what is needed in those moments require a level headedness. Things get easily out of hand once common sense is abandoned. The latest fad has been dubbed by the press simply as "teen fighting." This is just the latest of examples of a society gone wrong. Doesn't matter if you are on the red team or the blue, we all should never except it and allow the violence. But as for the reasons why, remember your own childhood when you were a teen ager? Being honest you know that we all did some really dumb stuff when we were teens. Call it what you will, but generally speaking, teens are stupid.
