The Pequa

I am currently doing a study on Ahab, who is in the book of first Kings. This was prompted by Moby Dick? I have been watching the movie with Gregory Peck as Captain Ahab. So far, I know, that Ahab, the original one, was a king for a while in Israel. I know that he was a bad king, and that he served Baal! But what I don't know yet, is the quote from the old sailor at the mooring, who spoke of how Captain Ahab would die, and all, save one, will die along with him? The men who were about to board and sign onto the Pequa, rejected what he told them, and then he likened the Captain to king Ahab, and said something about his flesh being eaten by dogs? That is what really drove me to want to do this study!
But it is a lot, and so I went outside to take a break. Once outside, I was treated to a gorgeous night! The tree's branches were black, with a white frosted snow on their tops! From their thick dark bases', to their long upward branches, they stood in dark defiance to the white canopy above! But the overhead seen changed as I watched, and fringed holes shone through, making the moon and a close star, blink and change along with the moving sky! The holes in this white puffed ceiling, was a crystal blue! The night air, crisp and clean, and it felt good as I filled my lungs with it!
But now I am back to work, determined to finish what has become an interesting story! Whether I remain disciplined enough to complete it, I promise that you will know! When I do write it, look for the heading, Captain Ahab!
