The Meeting

America doesn't recognize a thin line between right and left, or between Democrats and Republicans. Because, to Americans, there is no tight rope to walk. The line the political types tell us is so thin is actually a wide lush valley. That valley is the American people. A people just like most other people from whatever country, we just want to live in peace and be free. This is not only an American ideal, but a universal desire. The religion of politics has driven both sides to opposite ledges each overlooking the valley below. Their god has divided them.

In real America, if one of our own becomes infected with the religion of politics, we act quickly and put them straight. This so called razor thin line between us that the Popes of politics preach relentlessly, acts only as an irritant. The religion of politics is all done with smoke and mirrors, it has devolved into just a needless public relations ploy. The razor thin line which does exist, it is the line between PR and propaganda. But there has been a ray of hope that occurred recently. President Donald Trump invited the king of adult Democrats to dinner at the Whitehouse. Strangely considering his strong involvement in the political gaming, this was his first invitation to the Whitehouse. Mr. Maher, the so named king of the adult Democrats, was given the grand tour, even to the private quarters of the great house. This meeting is both a good thing to do but also the right thing.

This meeting harkens back to a time when it mattered little whether you pushed the buttons in the voting booth for the people with an R after their name or for the candidate with an D after his. In case this sounds impossible to you, and you wonder how could this be, and why was it so different not too long ago, What is the difference you might ask. As in most things the answer is simple. It is because back then politics was not a religion but just a civic duty. But primarily then, we were all Americans first and foremost, and to whichever party we leaned toward was secondary. Back then we were taught that there were two issues to never discuss in a bar, politics and religion. We looked with our eyes and gazed upon those things that unite us, rather than dwell on the small things that separate. Sound too simple, it's not! What this country of ours needs is our unifying base, our solid foundation. We need to return to our roots, we need to return to our Creator, our God. May we return to the God of our fathers, we are, besides what the hounds of hell howl about, a Christian nation. Conceived in Liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all are created equally. If we are to survive beyond our upcoming 250th Birthday, we Must return to the God of our fathers. Happy upcoming birthday America, and thank God that You made me an American!
